This page explains what personal information London's Glitch collects when you contact us or submit a booking enquiry, why we hold it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

Who we are

London's Glitch is a tattoo studio at Arch 7, 166 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 0DG. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us at info@londonsglitch.com or 07437 012038.

What we collect

Through our booking enquiry and contact forms we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you choose to give one;
  • your enquiry or message text;
  • your tattoo idea and booking details;
  • your preferred artist and style preferences;
  • placement, approximate size and budget range;
  • any reference images you upload, which may include photographs of existing tattoos or of the area of your body you want tattooed;
  • basic technical information sent with the form, such as the page you came from and your browser type, which we use to spot spam and protect our systems.

We do not ask for medical information through the website. Anything relevant to your health is discussed and recorded separately at the studio, as part of your consent form on the day of your appointment.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use the information you send us to:

  • respond to your enquiry;
  • assess your tattoo project and match you with an appropriate artist;
  • arrange and administer a booking where you decide to go ahead;
  • maintain the business records we need to keep;
  • prevent spam and abuse, and protect our website and studio systems.

For enquiries and the steps you ask us to take before any booking is agreed, we rely on taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Once a booking is agreed, we rely on performance of that contract. For ordinary studio administration, record-keeping and security we rely on our legitimate interests in running the studio safely and efficiently, and where a legal obligation applies — for example accounting records — we rely on that obligation.

Our forms do not ask you for marketing consent. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to a marketing list from an enquiry.

Who receives or processes it

Your information may be accessible to:

  • authorised London's Glitch studio staff;
  • the relevant artist or artists, where this is needed to assess or deliver your project;
  • contracted technology and service providers that host this website, our enquiry database and private file storage, and deliver our transactional email (we currently use Brevo to send studio notification emails).

These providers process the information in order to provide their services to London's Glitch, under their applicable contractual and data-protection terms. We may also share information where we are legally required to do so.

International processing

Some of our technology providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection rules treat this as a restricted transfer, we rely on the transfer mechanism or safeguards that apply to that service — for example adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards, where applicable.

Reference images

Reference images uploaded with a booking enquiry are held in private file storage. They are not published in a public gallery or portfolio. When we notify the studio about your enquiry, the email contains time-limited signed links so that only staff acting on your enquiry can open the files, and those links expire.

Please upload only images relevant to your tattoo idea, and avoid sending unrelated sensitive or private material.

How long we keep it

We do not apply a single fixed retention period. Instead we keep information only for as long as there is a genuine reason to:

  • enquiry and contact information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry, maintain relevant booking and business records, resolve any dispute, meet legal, accounting or insurance obligations, and protect our legitimate business interests;
  • reference images are kept only for as long as they are needed for your enquiry or project and any related record-keeping, and are removed when they are no longer reasonably necessary;
  • different records may need different retention periods, particularly depending on whether an enquiry becomes a booking.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to restrict or object to our use of it. Some of these rights apply only in certain circumstances — for example, we may need to keep some records after a deletion request where we still have a legal or legitimate business reason to hold them, and in that case we will tell you what we are keeping and why.

Email info@londonsglitch.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and embedded content

We do not run advertising or marketing tracking on this website, and we do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Some cookies or similar storage may be used to keep the site working as you use it.

Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, and our contact page includes a Google Maps embed; when those load, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own terms. Instagram links open on Instagram's own site, under Instagram's privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information we will update this page. Please check it again if it has been a while since your last enquiry.
