London's Glitch was founded in August 2024 by Clara and Roy with one ambition: create a tattoo studio that works better for everyone inside it.
For clients, that means thoughtful artist matching, clear communication and a place where long appointments feel considered. For artists, it means freedom, professional support and the conditions to do their best work.
Raising the standard, not just the aesthetic.
This studio was not built to look different. It was built because the tattoo experience is so often treated as secondary to the tattoo itself — something to get through rather than something worth designing. The environment, the organisation, the communication and the working conditions all shape how a day in the studio feels, and that feeds directly into the work that leaves it.
Today the studio is home to over 15 resident artists, most of whom have tattooed for more than a decade. Each has arrived from a different country, culture and background, and each goes deep in their own craft rather than trying to cover everything. They are deliberately unalike in what they draw and how they work, and that is the point. What they share is a professional home and an ambition to raise standards in the industry: make art, be professional, send people out happier than they came in.
Alongside that roster, Clara runs the studio's training programme with support from the wider team. New talent is introduced to the industry gradually and respectfully, with proper guidance rather than a rush to get them onto clients.

- Consultation and clear communication before booking, where the project calls for it.
- Comfort during long sessions: breaks, drinks, snacks and a space you can actually settle into.
- A dedicated private tattoo station when you would rather not be on the open floor, or for intimate placements.
- Support after the needle stops, from aftercare guidance through to healed check-ins.
For artists
- No house style. Nobody is asked to make their work look like someone else's.
- Freedom to develop a distinct visual language and take on the projects that push it forward.
- A properly equipped, properly maintained space with the infrastructure to work in professionally.
- Collaboration and knowledge-sharing between residents, guests and apprentices.
- Room to grow — for apprentices finding their footing and residents building a long career.

None of this is about luxury for its own sake. Everyone in the room is here for hours, so comfort is practical and care is part of the work. We care about what we make, the people we tattoo and the artists doing the tattooing — in roughly equal measure.
A room that works for a full tattoo day.
The studio sits beneath the railway arches on Southwark Bridge Road in central London.
The main tattooing floor is spacious and open-plan. Artists have room to set up properly, talk through stencils and design changes, shoot the finished work in decent light, and concentrate without working on top of each other — while the floor keeps the social energy that makes a long day pass more easily.
Alongside it there is one dedicated private tattoo station, for clients who would rather not be on the open floor or whose placement calls for more discretion.

The idea comes first
Projects are matched around concept, style, placement and fit — never around who has the earliest gap in their calendar. If you are not sure who to book with, that is our job to work out.
Artists keep their voice
There is no house style to conform to. The distinct identity of each artist is the whole point of the studio, so the work stays theirs from first sketch to healed tattoo.
The experience matters
Communication, hospitality, privacy and aftercare support are part of the service rather than extras. How the day feels is not separate from how the tattoo turns out.
Room to evolve
Artists keep learning here — new styles, new techniques, new directions. The studio grows with the people inside it, not around a fixed idea of what it should be.
Hours for you.
A whole working day for them.
A client might spend three, six or eight hours here, sometimes across several sessions. An artist spends entire working days in the same room, week after week. The studio has to hold up for both.
We stay reachable from the first enquiry through consultation, the session itself and aftercare.

London's Glitch is located at Arch 7, 166 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 0DG, close to Borough Market, London Bridge, South Bank and Waterloo.
The studio is easy to reach by Underground, National Rail and bus — Elephant & Castle is a short walk away and Mercato Metropolitano is nearby — with private parking directly outside subject to availability.
